Take-Two is considering developing games for the Nintendo Wii console. The publisher is taking Wii into consideration due to it’s graphic capabilities, but most importantly it’s controversial controller.

The Wii ‘nunchuck’ is viewed as the perfect controller for such sports games as baseball, tennis, golf, and pretty much anything else that involves swinging a stick. Couple the controller technology with the buzz that the system received at E3 and it’s easy to see why the Wii is a potential platform for any game developer.

Although the Nintedo Wii has plenty of buzz amongst the gaming community, actual development of Take-Two titles would not start until the end of this year or even mid 07. If the decision is made to move forward, the company will wait until the Wii has been established and any bugs are worked out. So, if your holding your breath, your probably going to pass out waiting on any Take-Two sports game being released at Wii launch date.

Take2Interactive is known for having it’s hand in the Grand Theft Auto franchise, Red Dead Revolver, Midnight Club 3, and others. Below is a list of Take-Two’s sports games that are currently on the shelves and for various systems.

  • RockStar Table Tennis
  • Outlaw Tennis
  • Outlaw Golf 2
  • Big Strike Bowling
  • Big Bass Fishing
  • Saltwater Sports Fishing
  • Ford Racing
  • Q-Ball Billards Master
  • Action Bass
  • Thrasher

Already with a healthy diversity of sports games, Take2Interactive will be a serious contender amongst sports titles on the upcoming Nintedo Wii console.
