Vertical shooters? The intense finger cramping, palm sweating, rebirth of our past type game play. To be successful at a vertical shooter you must be quick and extremely lucky, think Galaga but with 3d playing fields and lots of pretty colors. Hardly sounds like a next generation game doesn’t it?
Nibris, a polish developer, is about to release a title for the Nintendo DS which will be a vertical shooter and later release one for the Nintendo Wii. No doubt, this title will appeal to people who buy the Wii for it’s backwards capabilities and nostalga emotions such a shooter could invoke.
Raid Over The River, the working title for the vertical shooter Wii game is expected to release sometime in 2007. So, where should stories such as this be filed…Wii Rumors or Wii Games?
