Nintendo UK spoke with EuroGamer this morning in regards to the tabloid that announced the launch date and price for the Nintendo Wii. Read the allegations made by the tabloid here.

“It’s pure speculation on the part of the newspaper – we have made no announcements regarding Wii price or software,”

The Daily Star is no doubt used to rebuttals for false announcements. Nevertheless, Nintendo took the time to tell Eurogamer that any such announcement was pure speculation and holds zero water.

As noted on numerous occasions, don’t believe any hype or rumor until it comes out of an official Nintendo press announcement.
