Ubisoft Announces 7 Wii GamesUbisoft game developer is paving the way to be the leader in 3rd party game titles for the Wii. According to Ubisoft they plan on having 7 games available at launch, 4th quarter of this year. With 7 titles they will have the largest inventory of games available at launch time.

We are already aware of Red Steel and Rayman, but this week they announced 5 other titles as well.

  • Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII
  • Monster 4×4 World Circuit
  • Open Season
  • GT Pro Series

The president of Ubisoft spoke with gaming site IGN to talk about their readiness for the Wii launch. Most game developers were not prepared for the huge response and buzz the Wii is receiving, but Ubisoft new immediately that the Wii will be successful. Ubisoft President had this to say about their Wii game development strategy.

“We don’t have a crystal ball but we think the Wii is going to be a huge success right away and we want to be the number-one independent publisher for Wii in 2006,”
