As mentioned in the previous post, Nintendo fans are highly anticipating launch information for the Wii. Because of this buzz, news organizations and blogs are jumping at the chance to publish news in hopes of grabbing traffic. Apparently creating ‘official’ headlines is the best tactic to achieve a fan base.
According to Australian IT Nintendo has made an official announcement on the price of the Nintendo Wii. However, after careful inspection of the dimwitted article, from Reuters, we realize that there is NO official announcement. Ploys to stir a buzz, so that moments later the ‘official’ announcement will be all over the net via blogs and other smaller news sources.
Remember Wii watchers, until it’s announced on Nintendo’s official site, it’s probably not true, no matter who says it.
