The Nintendo Wii finally launched in Japan today, to the tune of 400,000 units. Like the US release many retail outlets were occupied the night before in hopes of being one of the lucky few to own a Wii on launch day.
The Spong was on the scene to take pictures and report on the hours before Yodobashi Umeda opened. Of the Wii’s launched in Japan, 2,800 were sold there and all were gone by 8:15! Holy lord.
