Nintendo of America boss Reggie today stated that he would love to see Grand Theft Auto on the Nintendo Wii and in fact has spoken to Rockstar games (the publishers and creators of the popular GTA games). During a television interview conducted on ABC in America Reggie stated that he has done everything in his power to try and get Rockstar to bring the game to the Nintendo Wii, but also stated that he can only do so much and the choice is Rockstar’s.

We at Buy-Wii.net would love to see the GTA games coming to the Nintendo Wii, mainly to see if Rockstar are creative and use the unique features in Nintendo Wii or just do a bad port of the game. Wii fans all around the internet have joined in requesting this however not all are happy. Some feel that brining the genre to the Nintendo Wii may ruin the image of the Wii being a family system.

However it is fair to say most of the Wii fans are waiting to see Rockstars response. Eteric posted on a Nintendo website “There hasn’t really been anything big with the GTA series since 3. I think the Wii could make GTA a more fun experience. “. More on this story as soon as we get it.
