Asserting it’s dominance in it’s homeland, the Wii outsold the Play Station 3 during the month of January. These figures are courtesy of Japanese magazine publisher Enterbrain and furthers the argument that not every one is ready for HD.

So far 1.4 million units of the Wii have been sold in Japan, way ahead of the 614,000 PS3 units sold.
