The rumor has been floating around almost since the Wii announced it wasn’t going to appear in Revolution skin. On April 6th, 2007 Capcom announced that they were focusing efforts on 2 Wii exclusive titles, Resident Evil 4 Wii and Resident Evil The Umbrella Chronicles.
Evil Wii players will be coming sooner than we once thought, with a street date of June 29th, I can almost smell the dead. 
“The innovative controller functionality of the Wii will allow us to design innovative, original game play never before seen in a Resident Evil game. With RE4, we’re challenging the Wii hardware to meet Resident Evil, while in The Umbrella Chronicles, we’re adapting Resident Evil to the innovations of the Wii.”
The Umbrella Chronicles will mostly play in the same locations from previous Resident Evil games, even as far back as the original. All the focus has been put into the unique controller functionality, with just a few new locations thrown in. No matter what it should be a must have title for the wrist flinging in all of us.

Evil Wii Will Be
That's a rhyme everytime. A few days ago we reported that Resident Evil Wii may not be realized, according to an interview at teh Leipzig convention. The Wiire has confirmed that it was a misunderstanding and that Resident Evil for the Wii is and and has been in development.
