It’s been 33 consecutive weeks of sold out goodness for the Nintendo Wii. Supply has continued to flow into major retail outlets, but unless your one of the very lucky few who are there at shipment time, your not going to get one. It does not look like it’s going to get any better soon.

According to sources close to Nintendo, due to a lack of parts the Wii’s ramp up of production must be postponed. Nintendo was hoping to increase production in June, but here we are in August and still no relief.

2.4 million units sold in the US, with another 9.3 million sold world wide. It might be in 08 before buying a Wii in a major retail outlet becomes common place.
