Enter Boogie, a sort of karaoke/rhythm treat where a player creates their own Boog and sings, dances, and uses the Wiimote to climb the dance floor ladder.

No question Boogie will force players off of the couch and get everyone moving to a new beat.

“We’re creating something new and different for gamers of all ages to enjoy; the complete party package where gamers can dance as well as sing,” says Alain Tascan, vice president and general manager, EA Montreal. “Nintendo’s Wii is an amazing console that really gives us a platform to be creative and to re-think traditional game development.”

This game is the best family oriented by far for the Wii. My kids and I love it. It’s got new age and old school songs. The songs are not sung by the original artists but they’re enjoyable just the same.

Don’t worry, the microphone is included in the purchase of the Wii Game, so you can start getting down immediately for less than $60. I suppose this will allow me to play out my American Idol fantasies in the comfort of my own home, with my own little crazy looking Boog.
