It’s routine for gaming manufacturers to drop the price of consoles 1 year after their release for the holidays. Already the PS3 has dropped it’s price and the Xbox360 has lowered their main console bundle by $50. Although routine, it would appear it’s necessary to keep up with the runaway success of the Nintendo Wii.
Senior Vice President of Nintendo Marketing has told the popular news source Reuters that they (Nintendo) has no plans on decreasing the price of their console. The suggest retail of the system has, is, and will remain at $250, but good luck finding one at that price. The demand for the system has persisted and it takes luck to snag one at that price, otherwise you should just suck it up and pay markup on them online. eBay and our own Wii Store is a great source.
