If there is anything that can be learned from least year about when to buy wii, it is that you don’t want to wait until Christmas. Trends show that during November and December the demand for the Nintendo Wii system skyrockets. Thus inflating the Wii price, and making it very hard to buy a wii for less then a couple hundred dollars over the retail price.
If you want to see a graphical representation of this theory, lets take a look at Google trends. Lets use a good keyword for the indicator, “buy wii”. By using Google trends, we can see a graphical representation of the amount that that keyword was searched for month by month in the past.
As you can see from the above graph, the term “buy wii” was searched for 4 to 5 times more during November and December. This is the reason the Wii price becomes so inflated during these months. Basically, what can be learned from this, is that you are better off to buy a wii sooner rather then later. Expect the Nintendo Wii price to increase significantly as Christmas approaches again.
