Star Wars is, in and of itself, a phenomenon. Never have so many people in the world come together to enjoy the same movie. It’s no wonder that the Star Wars franchise has continued on for as long as it has – so many people have fallen in love with the world, and many more are continuing to fall in love with it, that the saga will likely continue on for a very long time. The Wii system is also a phenomenon and has become almost as beloved as the Star Wars saga has, so it is understandable that the two would come together at one point in time or another.
The Nintendo Wii Glo Sword is what happens when you mix the Star Wars saga with the Wii. The Wii Glo Sword is an extension that is used with the Wii Remote. You simply slip the Wii Remote into the slot that is available for it and it becomes like a light saber. Unlike when you buy Wii accessories for other games, however, you also have to put batteries into the light saber, as that is what causes the sword to glow.
When you buy Wii Glo Sword, you may also want to purchase Star Wars: The Clone Wars Lighsaber Duals. While you can buy Wii Glo Sword to use with a number of fighting games, the Lightsabre Duals game is a great game to use with the sword. This game pits good against evil and allows you to either join the forces of good, or to go to the dark side. Fear not, your sword will work for either side. Unlike when you buy Wii accessories for other games, you do have to worry about batteries with this one. The instructions say that it is 3AA’s are good for about 25 hours worth of play time, but may go longer if you are diligent about turning off your sword when you aren’t using it.
As with when you buy most Wii parts, it is not necessary to buy Nintendo Wii Glo Sword in order to play games which require a sword. The Wii Remote itself will work perfectly well. It does, however, make game play much more enjoyable, allowing you to truly get into character and giving you the opportunity to feel like a true Jedi Knight!
