One thing you can say about Nintendo is that the company likes to make a splash. When all other gaming companies were simply making their systems stronger and more powerful and able to handle better graphics, Nintendo was redesigning the entire gaming experience. They created the Wii, which was the first wireless, truly interactive gaming experience, adding things like the Balance Board and other optional peripherals to make the experience truly enjoyable. Other companies have thought so too, as both Sony and Microsoft have created their own version of the popular wireless system. And with the announcement of the new Wii U console, it’s a sure bet that there are going to be a lot of people clamoring to get their hands on this one. Before you decide to preorder it, here are a few facts you should know.

• It is not the old choice revamped. One of the biggest myths that you’ll find online is that the new release is the old one simply made better. While it is true that there are much better graphics on this product, and that it’s much more powerful, it is an entirely different gaming experience than the previous one.
• The new remote is not an add-on to the old. The new remote is extremely unique and allows you to enjoy playing in a much different way thanks to the 6” innovative touch screen. This touch screen gives gamers many more options, and makes it fun for game designers to truly immerse players into their games. But the new remote will not work with the Nintendo you currently have sitting in your game room.
• The new remote is not the UDraw. The UDraw came out in 2010 and was a way for people to draw on their television using Nintendo software. There were also a few other games that you could play including Pictionary. While you can draw on the television with the new remote, it is not the UDraw. The UDraw does not have the same kind of screen and is an add-on, not a remote.
• The company will release enough products to meet the initial demand. If you’re looking into where to buy Wii U system products, you’ve probably read that the company already plans to release too few of these in order to boost the desire to own it. This same myth went around in 2007 when the original was released. At the time, Nintendo should have more than enough on hand – at least for the first few million buyers – because things went very quickly when the release hit the market. While Nintendo hopes to have enough to meet the demand, it’s just possible that demand will exceed expectations. If you do not pre-order the system you may have to wait a bit to get your hands on one.
• You can play your current games on the new release. Nintendo has always been great about allowing you to play previous gaming titles on their new releases, and this one is no different. Yes, you can play your older games as soon as you bring your new purchase home.
• It doesn’t have a DVD player. The new system does not play DVDs or BluRays. The company stated that this was done purposefully in an effort to save money and keep the price point as low as possible

There will be a number of places, both online and off, if you’re trying to decide where to buy Wii U system products, but if you don’t pre-order it, chances are very good that you’ll have a long wait, as this new console is sure to be a hot ticket.
