Logitech Classic Keyboards Supports Wii

A few weeks ago Nintendo announced the ability to use USB keyboards with the Nintendo Wii. This is a phenomenal feature added to the Wii that allows further interaction and a user to optimize the use of the Opera Internet Channel. But, Logitech announced that they will be fully supporting their Logitech Classic Keyboard 200 with Wii systems. Should take the guess work out of buying a new keyboard. ;)

Buy-Wii.net stocks a full line of Logitech Keyboards, which should be compatible with your Nintendo Wii. Make sure and check with the manufacturer before purchasing, because not all options will work with the Wii USB.

Buy Wii Keyboard

Last week’s Wii console update enabled compatibility with USB keyboards and your Nintendo Wii. The use of a keyboard and Opera’s online browser for the Wii makes surfing the net so much easier and even the ability to do some work, like typing blog posts. ;)

Buy-Wii.net recommends the use of the Kensington 64370 Keyboard. It’s built tough, and is even resistant to spills, which are an obvious concern when taking up residence in the living room. It’s a USB keyboard so it’ll work flawlessly with your Nintendo Wii. This keyboard has proven it’s worth amongst the PS2 crowd, so you know it will be a success with your Wii.

Use USB Keyboard with Wii

Wii KeyboardThe latest firmware update for your Nintendo Wii enables the ability to utilize a USB keyboard with your Wii console. Although that doesn’t really effect your game playing, it does effect the Wii’s ability to take over as a media center. If your Wii is connected to the internet this update should automatically download or prompt you to do so.

Being able to use a keyboard and surf the internet with the Wii Opera Browser makes for some good entertainment. Imagine entertaining your friends with YouTube videos via your Wii and on your living room TV! The USB ports for the Nintendo Wii are on the back, but with a long wired keyboard, or *gasp* wireless setup you could be on your way to living large.

Buy Wireless Sensor Bar

Setting up the Nintendo Wii was easy, fast, and turned my living room into a fun environment for myself and friends. The looks of the Wii fit well with my living room decor, but one thing has bothered me ever since I got my Wii. The Wii sensor bar, which makes using the wireless Wiimote so much fun, is wired and requires mounting on top of or below the TV. This can cause a mess, with this sensor bar wire tangling with my many other cables tucked behind the TV.

NYKO Technologies has an alternative that works just as good as the original Wii sensor bar. They offer a wireless version of the bar, so I don’t need to add another wire to the back of my setup!

Protect Your Wiimote, For Free

Nintendo made the announcement that they will start shipping all new Wii’s with a Wiimote Jacket, to help protect it against harmful…(You know, I’m really not sure what?, oils on our skin possibly?) In addition, if you already have a Wii console, you can easily request a Wiimote Jacket be sent to you, FREE of Charge!

The jackets are expected to ship out on October 15th and requesting one requires the serial number off of your Wii.

Wiimote Jacket

This offering is very similar to the Wiimote Skins we already offer, available in every color of the rainbow. But of course, theirs is free and ours start at  $3.99.

Shooting Zombie’s, Zapper Style

Resident Evil WiiThe greatest of the Wii games have yet to be released. Much anticipation is floating around about how much potential the console actually has and what direction it’s moving. Zelda and party games are not your only option, especially if your an arcade shooter fan. Perhaps it’s time to buy Resident Evil-Wii Edition and a Wii Zapper.

Resident Evil combined with the Wii Zapper would allow for the most surreal shoot’em up experience yet in a home. Hopefully, with the right size TV you can feel like your actually in the arcade.

5 out of 5 stars Great Game!   August 30, 2007
This game creates a hugely enthralling horror atmosphere, and blasting zombies with the wii remote is great fun!

5 out of 5 stars Resident Evil 4   August 23, 2007
It is a little difficult to pick up the controls if you don’t have much experience with the Wii, but once you get it the game is a lot of fun and challenging at the same time.

5 out of 5 stars Fanfreakingtastic   August 21, 2007
Though I have never played a Resident Evil game I give this version a big thumbs up. Obviously the graphics aren’t going to be outstanding, but they really end up looking pretty darn good. The controls are really good. However the camera angle can get a little squirrelly on occasion. The price is right. Buy it today.

Nerf Wii Controllers

By now you’ve seen all the Wiimote Skins available, but have you seen the latest ‘Nerf’ material skins? When flailing wildly these little colorful skins could save someone’s eye from being put out. Maybe a broken TV?

They are not available in the Wii Store yet, but when they are I will make an announcement. If you don’t feel like waiting the only alternative is to get one at EBGames. They retail for about $9.99 each.

*Will be vailable on 10/1/07.

Buy Wii Fit

Are you not getting enough out of your Wii Sports in terms of a workout. Personally I break a sweat everytime I decide to play a little Wii Boxing. However, Nintendo has found yet another niche and has decided to fill the void with their upcoming new product, the Nintendo Wii Fit.

The Wii Fit is actually a new type of controller that you will literally stand up on. Much like exercise pad, it will force you to get off of the sofa and start working out! The bundled Wii Games included with Wii Fit are geared towards a full workout and focuses on such aspects as

  • Aerobics
  • Yoga
  • Muscle Stretches
  • Core Workout

Nintendo hopes that this new hardware and software for your Nintendo Wii will keep your family fit and importantly have fun together. Sharing data across your Wiiconnect is one way to keep an eye on distant friends even when the family can’t be together.

Expect the Wii Fit to be a big hit here at Buy-Wii.net and we’ll post it as soon as it’s available. Be sure to bookmark us and check back soon. I’m already sweating thinking about losing weight. :)
