Kynapse may not mean anything to the common gamer, but it’s the backbone for many AI(artificial intelligence) for characters in the games we play. Up until now the source has not been available for the development of Wii video games, but today that changes.

With Kynapse now available for the Nintendo Wii we can expect smarter enemies, more life like non-player friends in the coming games to the Wii. Kynapse has been used in some of the most successful games out there today, like Crackdown, Alone in The Dark, Fable 2, and The Lord of The Rings Online. Expect some epic games from developers utilizing this developer tool in the upcoming Wii lineup.

It’s not unusual for games to come out on multiple platforms, but never before have games need to be reworked to take advantage of special controls.
